A lot of people still like to use Charcoal grills rather than skip over too the gas powered type. It’s more of a preference or sometimes just a pricing problem. You want a cheap grill, go for a charcoal one. A Thermos Charcoal Grill is a leading product when it comes to those looking for a cheap charcoal grill, but you get what you paid for. Rather than this be a full blown love fest for the grill, it’s actually a half rant. Most of these grills have consumer complaints because well, they are cheap and cheaply made.
Problem is, they just don’t makem like they use too. It’s a true statement with a lot of things, not just cars. While you will still be able to use a Thermos Charcoal Grill to get the job done, you might just want to spend a few more bucks and grab one of their gas powered grills. These are very popular and have some great reviews. Why they are slacking on their charcoal grills is anyone’s guess. Don’t get me wrong here. If you want a charcoal grill for cheap, you will be fine with a thermos charcoal grill. It’s just that ive found better (in my opinion anyway) for around the same price or cheaper. It’s an old style grill with old style problems. But if you want something that is going to take a beating and eventually be replaced anyway, then go for it.
If you really want a decent grill in ther Thermos brand, take a look into their gas/propane grills. They are of much better quality and reliability. If you still are thinking about a thermos charcoal grill. Maybe you should look at a weber instead. Depending on what you want, you could even find something cheaper and with a bit better quality and consumer scores. If you want something of equal size, it will probably run you double for what you would pay on a Thermos Charcoal Grill. I guess it all depends on your overall plan. Go with the cheaper if you don’t really care about it and need something that will be taking a lot of abuse. If you want something for long lasting grilling opportunities, then you should spend a few more bucks and go with a Weber or something similar.
Thermos 22.5 Inch Premium Deluxe Charcoal Kettle Grill
This one isn’t bad and what I would pick out of all of them. It will run you about $50 or so and will still do the job, but handling it you can tell it is cheap and just feels a bit unsteady and almost like some of the pieces in it don’t fit just right.
Weber 10020 Smokey Joe Silver Charcoal Grill, Black
This guy is quite a bit smaller than the first Thermos there but not only is it cheaper but it has a much better feel to it. Better quality and better results.

Now if you want something with quality and similar size specs to the first Thermos, then this one will be the one to pick. Yes it is nearly 3x as much as the Thermos, but again you get what you pay for. If your looking for a long lasting charcoal grill, this is your man! If
